Synopsis

Two struggling actors - Marwood (Paul McGann) and his caustic, alcoholic friend, Withnail (Richard E. Grant) - spend their lives moving between their filthy flat, the pub and the unemployment office. When they’re invited to Cumbria by Withnail's flamboyant uncle, Monty (Richard Griffiths), they encounter boredom, frightening locals and endless rain in Britain’s countryside.
