Created by Brit Andy Wolton (Brit), this compassionate comedy sensitively explores some of the absurdities of the adoption process. British actors Rafe Spall and Esther Smith are phenomenal as the leads - exuding warm and believable chemistry throughout - and are skilfully supported by the UK’s Imelda Staunton and Ophelia Lovibond. Produced by Aberdeen-based BBC Studios.

A couple in their thirties, Nikki (Esther Smith) and Jason (Rafe Spall), have exhausted their options when it comes to trying for a baby, so they finally make the decision to adopt. With a less-than-perfect friendship group, dysfunctional families and generally chaotic lives, they try to convince an adoption panel that they’re ready to be parents.
