Synopsis
In London, eighteen-year-old Jess Bhamra (Parminder Nagra), the daughter of a strict Indian couple (Anupam Kher and Shaheen Khan) is forbidden from playing football. After Jules Paxton (Keira Knightley) notices Jess’s skills and invites her to play for a semi-pro team, Jess desperately tries to hide the matches from her family, while also dealing with romantic feelings for her coach, Joe (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers).
