UK mountaineer and filmmaker Captain John Noel captures footage of two British explorers attempting to climb Mount Everest. Astonishing in its scope, UK composer Simon Fisher Turner offers a beautifully complex and sinister score to the restoration. Historically significant as well as highly artistic, the documentary was co-produced by the British Film Institute.

Synopsis
In 1924, two explorers, Andrew Irvine and George Mallory, attempt to climb Mount Everest. Captain John Noel captures their unfortunately doomed expedition, as they disappear off the north-east ridge of the mountain.
