Directed by the UK’s Richard Loncraine, this sweet sports drama stars an array of British talent such as Paul Bettany, Eleanor Bron and Bernard Hill. There’s a real warmth and chemistry between the two lead actors and the tennis scenes are well-choreographed, gripping and convincing. Synopsis
Frustrated and disillusioned with professional sports, tennis player Peter Colt (Paul Bettany) has ambitions to retire from competition completely, but when he’s offered a surprise place in Wimbledon, he can’t help but pursue the opportunity. On his journey, he meets American tennis player Lizzie Bradbury (Kirsten Dunst) who inspires him to try and turn his luck around.
