Made in collaboration with its cast of mostly non-professional actors, Rocks - helmed by British filmmaker Sarah Gavron - is not just an ode to the joys of female friendship, but testimony to the kind of authentic storytelling that arises from a spirit of community. Teeming with attitude, charm and exuberance, its two British leads Bukky Bakray and Kosar Ali are bonafide stars.
