Munich: The Edge of War

This creative and deeply enjoyable revisionist drama is based on the novel by Nottingham-born Robert Harris. Brit Jeremy Irons is outstanding as Chamberlain, with support from a wealth of UK talent including Alex Jennings, George MacKay and Jessica Brown Findlay. With a sharp screenplay by Brit Ben Power, the film was co-produced by British-based Turbine Studios.

Set at the notorious 1938 Munich conference, Neville Chamberlain (Jeremy Irons) and his government desperately try to stop Adolf Hitler (Ulrich Matthes) invading Czechoslovakia. As negotiations get underway, two old friends - British civil servant Hugh Legat (George MacKay) and German diplomat Paul von Hartmann (Jannis Niewöhner) - find themselves at the centre of a complex entanglement as they try to avert war at all costs.
