Nominated for the World Cinema - Dramatic Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival, the impressive Glasgow-set feature debut of British writer-director Adura Onashile is sensitively handled, with fantastic performances from its young UK newcomers Le'Shantey Bonsu and Liana Turner. Co-produced by British companies BBC, BFI, Barry Crerar, Great Point Media and Screen Scotland.

As eleven-year-old Ama (Le'Shantey Bonsu) starts showing signs of puberty, her mother Grace (Déborah Lukumuena) is overcome with anxiety. Feeling stifled by the small Glasgow apartment her mother tries to contain her within, Ama yearns for more, forcing Grace to reckon with her deeply-buried past.
