British actor-turned-filmmaker Dexter Fletcher directs this Oscar-winning and four-times BAFTA-nominated euphoric homage to international star Elton John, who acts as Executive Producer on the film. Written by the UK’s Lee Hall (Billy Elliot) and co-produced by British companies Marv Films and Rocket Pictures, it stars renowned UK actors Taron Egerton, Jamie Bell, Richard Madden and Stephen Graham.





The young and shy Reginald Dwight changes his name to Elton John (Taron Egerton), and after miraculously crossing paths with singer-songwriter Bernie Taupin (Jamie Bell), becomes one of the most prominent figures in music history. From 1970s breakthrough all the way through to his current status as an international star, the singer’s remarkable journey is charted with a mix of his most adored songs filling the soundtrack.
