The Little Stranger

Elegantly-crafted and abound with eeriness, this post-war period drama turned psychological horror ratchets up the tension with clever use of sound and production design. But it’s the performances that prove to be truly haunting, with the UK’s Ruth Wilson, Will Poulter and Charlotte Rampling on splendid form.
