His long-running fascination with what can be found beyond the surface of the ocean is dutifully explored here, utilising a talented team of explorers and scientists. With music from British composer Nainita Desai, the series is co-produced by BBC Studios.

The OceanXplorer is a state-of-the-art scientific research and exploration vessel, investigating the depths of the world's oceans, eighty-per-cent of which are unknown. Using advanced technology, a hand-picked team of explorers, experts and scientists take on the ocean and try to solve some of its many mysteries.
