This Oscar-nominated, visually mesmerising and fully-painted feature was written and directed by Doroto Kobiela and the UK’s Hugh Welchman. A talented array of Brits lend their voices, including Douglas Booth, Eleanor Thomlinson and Helen McCrory. Bolstered by a superb score from British Clint Mansell, this impressive feature was co-produced by the UK’s Trademark Films and Sevenex Capital Partners.

Synopsis

This animated film is an investigation into the mystery surrounding the death of famed Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh, with the story told through his paintings and the characters within them. Via interviews with the characters close to Vincent and dramatic reconstructions of the events leading to his controversial death, we follow an intriguing deep dive into the painter’s last days.
