Fisherman's Friends

This gentle, warm-hearted and endearing film is directed by Sunderland-born Chris Foggin, with an enchanting screenplay from Brits Meg Leonard, Nick Moorcroft and Piers Ashworth. Fine British acting talent such as Tuppence Middleton and Daniel Mays enhance this sweet-natured comedy. Co-produced by UK companies Fred Films and Powderkeg Pictures.

Danny (Daniel Mays) - a music executive from London - travels to Cornwall on a stag weekend where he encounters ten local sea shanty singers, led by Jim (James Purefoy), Jago (David Hayman) and Leadville (Dave Johns). Moved by their performance, he gets them signed to Universal Records as they begin to become increasingly successful.
