Nominated for the Palme d’Or at Cannes Film Festival, this revisionist period piece is based on the novel by British author Elizabeth Fremantle, and adapted to screen by the UK’s Henrietta and Jessica Ashworth. Featuring a talented ensemble British cast including Jude Law, Simon Russell Beale, Sam Riley and Erin Doherty, the film is co-produced by London-based MBK Productions.





In Tudor England, Katherine Parr (Alicia Vikander) reluctantly agrees to become the sixth wife of King Henry VIII (Jude Law), and soon after is appointed Regent by him, as he leaves to fight overseas. When the King returns, Katherine must fight for her survival, as she finds herself under increasing scrutiny and suspicion from her paranoid and tyrannical husband.
