Synopsis

Set in a fictional small town in New Mexico, we join the story in May of 2020, just as the Covid lockdowns begin. Here we find Sheriff Joe Cross (Joaquin Phoenix) and Mayor Ted Garcia (Pedro Pascal), who find themselves at a deadlock in their opposing views on how to handle the pandemic.
