Created by Swiss-American filmmaker Ari Handel, this warm-hearted documentary follows renowned actor Chris Hemsworth and his seventy-one-year-old father who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Directed by Wales’s Tom Barbor-Might, and with a fine score from British composer Nainita Desai, the film lovingly explores how social bonds and connection can help to fight the disorder. Synopsis

After Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth’s seventy-one-year-old father, Craig, was diagnosed with active Alzheimer’s, Chris discovered his DNA also contained copies of the Alzheimer’s-signifying gene. Trying to help his father, he takes him on a reminiscent trip across Australia in an attempt to reignite connection and memory, as he also mentally prepares to fight this disorder one day himself.
