Blackadder's Christmas Carol

This inspired one-off special is directed by Birmingham-born Richard Boden and ingeniously written by high-profile UK screenwriters Richard Curtis and Ben Elton. Allowing the adored cast to reprise their roles from the series, the special features the likes of British actors Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Robbie Coltrane and Amanda Richardson. Produced by the BBC.

After the abundant generosity of Ebenezer Blackadder (Rowan Atkinson) and Baldrick (Tony Robinson) leaves them without gifts, money or food for Christmas, they change tack after a visit from a bearded ghost (Robbie Coltrane). Showing snippets of his ancestors’ evil past, the ghost encourages Ebenezer Blackadder to turn his back on goodwill and lean into mean-spiritedness.
