Synopsis

Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) is a heroin addict who explores unwise ideas and attempts to get clean with his friends Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), Begbie (Robert Carlyle), Spud (Ewen Bremner) and Tommy (Kevin McKidd). After kicking his addiction and moving from Edinburgh to London, Mark struggles to escape his past life when Begbie shows up at his front door, with Sick Boy hot on his heels.
