This daring and distinctive historical drama won Cannes’ FIPRESCI prize. With outstanding performances from British actors Mark Stanley and Sam Spruell, the film offers a brutal exploration of the genocide of Chile’s indigenous population. With mythical elements, and tropes of the Western genre, the drama is co-produced by UK-based Quiddity Films and Finite Films and TV.

In 1901 Chile, three men on horseback set out to establish a safe route to the coast on behalf of wealthy rancher José Menendez (Alfredo Castro). Irresponsible British captain (Mark Stanley) and American mercenary (Benjamin Westfall) are joined by a mixed-race mestizo marksmen (Camilo Arancibia) who slowly comes to realise that their true intent is to eliminate Chile’s indigenous Selk’nam population.
