Created by British screenwriter Tony Marchant (Garrow’s Law), this empathetic and compassionate three-episode mini-series features outstanding performances from a UK cast that includes Anna Friel, Callum Booth-Ford, Millie Gibson as well as Ireland’s Emmet Scanlan. Powerful and with fully realised characters, the series is co-produced by Manchester-based Red Production Company, ITV and Aenon.

Eleven-year-old Max (Callum Booth-Ford) has identified as a girl from a very young age and wants to live her life as Maxine. Taking very different approaches, her separated parents Vicky (Anna Friel) and Stephen (Emmett Scanlan) attempt to work out how best to handle their child’s transition.
