Sweet Sixteen

Once again bringing together UK collaborators Ken Loach, producer Rebecca O’Brien and screenwriter Paul Laverty, Sweet Sixteen in a powerful social-realist drama set on a Scottish estate. Martin Compston is astonishing, brilliantly playing out Loach’s regular trope of well-meaning characters finding themselves trapped in callous worlds. Co-produced by British companies BBC Films, The Works and Scottish Screen.
