Suburban housewife Tara (Gemma Arterton) is at the end of her tether, raising two young children largely alone, with little support from her self-absorbed husband (Dominic Cooper). But when she makes the impromptu decision to depart for Paris, she realises that starting over isn’t quite so simple.
