Slumdog Millionaire

Brit Dev Patel leads this Oscar- and BAFTA-winning film, co-directed by the UK’s Danny Boyle and Indian filmmaker Loveleen Tandan. With a compelling screenplay from Simon Beaufoy and sumptuous visuals from UK cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle, the hugely successful film was co-produced by Celador Films, Film4, Warner Bros. Pictures and Cloud Eight Films.

Through a series of flashbacks, we discover how eighteen-year-old Jamal Malik (Dev Patel) found himself on the Indian version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire". Having to steal to survive on the streets of Mumbai after the death of their mother, Jamal and his brother Salim (Madhur Mittal) end up taking divergent paths, with Jamal’s leading him to the game show.
