Synopsis

Set in a remote town on New Zealand’s South Island, determined detective Robin Griffin (Elisabeth Moss) investigates the disappearance of twelve-year-old Tui (Jacqueline Joe), who is five months pregnant. As she conducts her enquiry, her limits are tested when she faces conflicts with members of the local community such as Tui’s father Matt Mitcham (Peter Mullan) and GJ (Holly Hunter), a spiritual mentor at a local women-only camp for survivors of sexual violence.
