Synopsis

Set during World War II, Lt. Gen. Leslie Groves Jr. (Matt Damon) hires physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy) to work on the highly-classified Manhattan Project. After Oppenheimer and his team spend years developing the atomic bomb, their work comes to its full realisation on 16th July 1945, when the world's first nuclear explosion changes the course of history forever.
