My Son

The UK’s Claire Foy and James McAvoy reinvigorate the child abduction genre with their committed, and harrowing, performances. More astonishing still is that McAvoy’s involvement was entirely improvised. As the search for their son in the Scottish wilderness deepens, the film becomes a search for meaning and hope against the odds.
