Synopsis

In 1990s post-Soviet Russia, a young artist-turned-producer Vadim Baranov (Paul Dano) becomes the unlikely advisor to rising agent Vladimir Putin (Jude Law). Baranov is instrumental in helping to shape the new Russia, often darkly blurring the boundaries between truth and lies in the process.
