Synopsis

Two American best friends, Hanna (Julia Garner) and Liv (Jessica Henwick) are backpacking across Australia, finding themselves in a temporary live-in job at a remote pub called 'The Royal Hotel'. The owner Billy (Hugo Weaving) and a group of locals introduce the women into Australian drinking culture but soon the mood turns and Hanna and Liv find themselves trapped in a rapidly disconcerting situation.
