Synopsis

In 1974, disgraced Labour MP John Stonehouse (Matthew Macfayden), a rising star of Harold Wilson's government, vanished from a beach in Miami, leaving a neatly folded pile of clothes behind him. Only later did people find out that he’d faked his own death before fleeing to Australia and assuming a new identity.
