This endlessly entertaining and absurdly funny series was written by British author John Preston and directed by BAFTA-winning Scottish director, John S. Baird (Filth). Delightfully scandalous and tongue in cheek, it’s brought to life by outstanding British actors Matthew Macfayden and Keeley Hawes. Co-produced by UK companies Snowed-In-Productions, Clearwood Films and ITV.

In 1974, disgraced Labour MP John Stonehouse (Matthew Macfayden), a rising star of Harold Wilson's government, vanished from a beach in Miami, leaving a neatly folded pile of clothes behind him. Only later did people find out that he’d faked his own death before fleeing to Australia and assuming a new identity.
