Fast-paced, frenetic and yet finely-tuned, British director Danny Boyle reinvents the biopic with a triptych-structured portrait of Steve Jobs that manages to be both epic and intimate. The performances are all perfectly-pitched (Irish actor Michael Fassbender and the UK’s Kate Winslet especially) and Aaron Sorkin’s script is as smart and scintillating as you’d expect.
