Based on British writer Neil Gaiman’s novel, UK filmmaker Matthew Vaughn directs this enjoyable adventure, co-adapting the script with British screenwriter Jane Goldman. Featuring an accomplished ensemble cast that includes UK actors Sienna Miller, Rupert Everett and Peter O’Toole, the action is captured by British cinematographer Ben Davis. Synopsis
Vowing to retrieve a shooting star for his love interest Victoria (Sienna Miller), Tristan (Charlie Cox) leaves the confines of his village to prove his love. But he soon discovers that the fallen star is actually a woman named Yvaine (Claire Danes) who is in grave danger, with both the king’s son and an evil witch wishing to use her powers.
