Directed by Kent-born Matthew Warchus and with a gloriously humorous script from Brit Stephen Beresford, Pride is endlessly uplifting and heart-warming. Produced by the UK's Calamity Films and featuring a wealth of British acting talent such as George MacKay, Bill Nighy, Imelda Staunton, Dominic West and Paddy Considine.

In 1984, Joe (George MacKay), on the verge of coming out to his family, begins trying to raise money for the miners after being encouraged by his friend Mark Ashton (Ben Schnetzer). Realising that they share common enemies in the press, Margaret Thatcher and the police, Joe, Mark, and a wider group of gay and lesbian activists travel to Wales to show solidarity with the striking miners.
