Synopsis

In 1984, Joe (George MacKay), on the verge of coming out to his family, begins trying to raise money for the miners after being encouraged by his friend Mark Ashton (Ben Schnetzer). Realising that they share common enemies in the press, Margaret Thatcher and the police, Joe, Mark, and a wider group of gay and lesbian activists travel to Wales to show solidarity with the striking miners.
