How to Change the World

Written and directed by the UK’s Jerry Rothwell (Sour Grapes), this enthralling documentary was awarded the Green Award at Sheffield International Documentary Festival. Brought to life by stunning 16mm footage made by Greenpeace members at the time of the group's inception, the film was co-produced by the MetFilm Production, BFI and British Sky Broadcasting.

In 1971, a crew of friends, scientists and seamen sailed into a nuclear test zone in a bid to try and disrupt it, and in doing so, captured the world’s imagination. Using never seen before archive footage, this absorbing documentary faithfully explores the origins of Greenpeace and its impact on the world.
