Directed by the UK’s Oliver Parker and written by British screenwriter Morwenna Banks, this entertaining series addresses the sexism of the 1960’s in a gratifying and forward-thinking way. Synopsis
Barbara Parker (Gemma Arterton), a beauty queen from Blackpool, tries to find her voice in the male-dominated world of 1960s comedy. Determined to make her dream a reality, she moves to London to become a star.
