Directed by British filmmaker Michael Apted, and written by the UK’s Steven Knight, this riveting film is shot by British cinematographer Remi Adefarasin. Synopsis

In eighteenth century Britain, Member of Parliament and committed abolitionist William Wilberforce (Ioan Gruffudd) takes on a battle to abolish Britain’s slave trade. Trying to manoeuvre his way through the House of Commons with his confidant and future Prime Minister William Pitt (Benedict Cumberbatch), they take on the establishment in an attempt to end this cruel and unjust practice.
