Synopsis

A sweeping historical drama that depicts the intertwined lives of ordinary civilians throughout Europe who are affected by World War II. An English interpreter at the British Embassy in Warsaw attempts to smuggle his Polish lover back home, a gay couple in Paris face increasing prejudice and an American war correspondent faces censorship while trying to report the news from Berlin.
