What's Love Got to Do with It?
Propelled by the dazzling on-screen chemistry between its two lead actors, this diverse re-working of the classic Richard Curtis-style, Working Title rom-com won’t fail to delight. Directed by Shekhar Kapur, and written by the UK’s Jemima Khan (who draws on her own experience), this enchanting film also boasts an array of beautifully captured London locations.
Documentary film-maker Zoe (Lily James) relies on dating apps to find romance, while her best friend Kazim (Shazad Latif) chooses the route of an arranged marriage, as per the tradition of his Pakistani heritage. As she documents his journey, the difficulties in each approach become clear as they begin to challenge their own approaches to finding love.
