When a crew member turns up dead onboard the Trident nuclear submarine HMS Vigil, the Scottish Police are called upon to investigate. But in order to keep the submarine on patrol, DCI Amy Silva (Suranne Jones) must go onboard alongside a potential murderer, as well as contending with failed reactors, hostile crew and naval conspiracies.
