With seven seasons running from 2000 to 2005, this BAFTA-winning show was created by British screenwriter Michael Chaplin. Featuring a skilled Scottish cast that includes Alastair Mackenzie, Dawn Steele, Hamish Clark and Alexander Morton alongside the UK’s Susan Hampshire and Lloyd Owen, the series explores familial duty versus personal desire. Synopsis

Archie MacDonald (Alastair Mackenzie) leaves behind his life as a London restaurateur to head back to his childhood home of Glenbogle in the Scottish Highlands. As well as being tasked with saving his family estate from financial ruin, he also becomes entangled in the lives of the local residents.
