Danish-Palestinian filmmaker Mahdi Fleifel marks his accomplished debut feature as writer-director with this suspenseful and intelligent drama about Palestinian refugees living on the fringes of Greek society. Co-written by British-Moroccan screenwriter Fyzal Boulifa, along with Ireland’s Jason McColgan, the film is co-produced by London-based Nakba Filmworks and Inside Out Films.

Dreaming of fleeing Athens, two Palestinian refugees, Chatila (Mahmood Bakri) and Reda (Aram Sabbah), save money to obtain fake passports. When Reda loses their hard-earned cash, Chatila concocts a ruthless plan that includes betraying his fellow refugees.
