Synopsis

Victoria (Emily Blunt) is regularly harangued by her overbearing mother (Miranda Richardson) until she assumes the throne at the age of 18, following the death of William IV (Jim Broadbent). Even with company from charming friend Lord Melbourne (Paul Bettany) Queen Victoria feels desperately alone until she finds passionate and enduring romance with Prince Albert (Rupert Friend).
