Young child Sophia (Emily Matthews), her father (Anders Danielsen Lie) and her grandmother (Glenn Close) travel by boat to a small Finnish island where they have an annual family retreat. Sophia explores her surroundings with her father and grandmother as familial dynamics are explored.
