Accomplished American filmmaker Ira Sachs (Little Men, Love Is Strange) directs and adapts to screen this enthralling glimpse into photographer Peter Hujar’s life. Fantastic performances from British actors Ben Whishaw and Rebecca Hall carry the film, offering a realistic on screen rapport that allows for introspective exploration of the artist’s life. Synopsis

In 1974, seminal queer photographer Peter Hujar (Ben Whishaw) visits the home of author Linda Rosenkrantz (Rebecca Hall) to recount the details of one full day into a tape recorder. Through their intimate and spirited conversation, Hujar shares anecdotes about iconic cultural figures such as William Burroughs, Candy Darling, Susan Sontag and Allen Ginsberg.
