Written and directed by Palestinian filmmaker Annemarie Jacir, this gripping drama explores themes of necessary resistance and national identity. Featuring excellent performances from British actors Jeremy Irons, Robert Aramayo, Billy Howle and Ireland’s Liam Cunningham, the film is co-produced by London-based BFI Films, BBC Film, Corniche Media and Autonomous.

Synopsis
In 1936, a Palestinian uprising against British colonial rule begins to take hold. After a young village boy gets a job in Jerusalem - working for a liberal newspaper - he begins to see how Zionist ideas are placated as he’s stirred into action.
