Directed by British-Nigerian newcomer Akinola Davies Jr, and co-written with his brother Wale Davies, this BAFTA-nominated debut feature offers outstanding performances from British actor Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, alongside talented newcomers Chibuike Marvellous Egbo and Godwin Egbo. Shot by Nottingham-born Jermaine Edwards, the film is co-produced by BFI, BBC Film and Crybaby Films.

Synopsis

Set against the backdrop of the 1993 election crisis in Nigeria, we follow two young brothers (Chibuike Marvellous Egbo and Godwin Egbo) and their estranged father (Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù). Over the course of one day in Lagos, the family’s dynamic is explored as political unrest threatens their journey home.
