Riz Ahmed proves himself one of the most interesting British actors working today with this blistering rap-centred character study (which he also co-wrote) that explores what being Pakistani means in contemporary Britain. Surrealist, fever-dream direction from Bassam Tariq and a lyricism that extends beyond the rapping itself makes this BAFTA-nominated drama worth seeking out.
