Synopsis

In nineteenth century France, newly-released prisoner Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman) begins to be hunted by ruthless officer Javert (Russell Crowe) when he breaks parole. After reinventing himself as a factory owner, Valjean becomes the guardian of a child (Amanda Seyfried) following the death of her mother (Anne Hathaway), but Javert’s relentless pursuit is still looming.
