British writer-director Andrew Haigh’s fourth feature is a deeply empathetic portrayal of a teenage boy fleeing a lonely and difficult reality. Synopsis

Charley (Charlie Plummer), a lonely teenager who lives with his father, finds work caring for an ageing racehorse named Lean on Pete. When he learns the horse is destined for slaughter, the two embark on an American odyssey across the new frontier, trying to find somewhere safe that they can finally call home.
