King on Screen

Directed by Daphné Baiwir, immerse yourself in the vast and varied on-screen footprint of Stephen King’s many adapted novels, spanning over fifty years. One of the most adapted living authors in the world, the documentary features actors James Caan and the UK’s Tim Curry, with music from British composer Nicholas Pike. Co-produced by London-based company FilmCore.

Since Brian de Palma adapted Carrie - Stephen King’s first novel - in 1976, over fifty filmmakers have adapted the prolific author’s works in over eighty film and TV projects. King on Screen brings together the directors that have adapted the master of horror's books over the years, including interviews with Frank Darabont, Tom Holland, Mick Garris and Taylor Hackford.
