Based on the comic book by Scottish writer Mark Millar, this stylish and thrilling adaptation is directed by British filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, who co-adapts the script with UK screenwriter Jane Goldman. British cinematographer Ben Davis captures the action, including outstanding performances from UK lead Aaron Taylor-Johnson, with support from Brit Mark Strong. Co-produced by London-based Marv Films.

Synopsis

An unassuming teenager and comic book fan named Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson) decides to reinvent himself as a superhero called ‘Kick-Ass’. Though he has no special powers, he joins forces with vigilante father-daughter duo Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) and Hit-Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) to fight crime.
